Using GMail
The information below is for new GMail Recipients to learn GMail basics.
- NEVER reply to GMail using your email.
- First you will always receive an email from:
Name of Sender@usegmail.com or the name of any sender.
- Look at the message and double click on the blue web address. It will automatically launch your web browser and then display the GMail Board with all messages shown.
- To add a message or respond, click the 'Add Message' Key. This takes you to the 'Add Message' screen.
- Enter your message in the entry field.
- When complete, click the 'Send Message' key.
This will ADD your message at the top of all previous messages. It also emails a notice to all listed recipients with a link to the message board to view the update.
- If you want to see how your message will look before you send it, click the 'Test Message' key.
- To send or modify the message, ALWAYS click the 'GO BACK' key in your Browser first, then modify and then re-test.
Other Notes:
- The purpose of GMail is 'Group Messaging', and all messages will always be seen by all listed recipients.
- The Email notices also go to all recipients.
- If you want to send an unimportant message, use email.
- Messages can be in color or bold or both.
- Photo's and downloads can also be added or shown, but you will need to click go to 'Help' or Photographs to learn the procedures.
- If you do not want email notifications sent to all recipients, just click 'checkbox' to be empty.
